"Ajuga Reptans" | A5 card

"Ajuga Reptans" is the latin name of the St. Lawrence plant. It goes by many common names: bugle, bugleweed, bugleherb, carpetweed...

I spent all my childhood picking flowers and observing bugs in our family orchard. Many wildflowers stayed dear to me, like this one. The St. Lawrence plant is know for its medecinal properties, but to little me, they were the home of many amazing insects that I contemplated for hours! I was also fascinated by their shades varying from blue to purple, and I had a lot of fun retranscribing these with watercolor.

This painting was made using Sennelier high-quality, honey-based watercolors, and was then digitally printed on 300g recycled paper. Product size is A5 (14,8 x 21 cm).
